Smart speedy 28 foot 3inch timber and ply family or offshore fishing and dive boat. Can be fitted with a sporty cabin or traditional looking cabin. Ideal for speeds over 20 knots or at displacement speed of about 8 knots with a much smaller diesel motor of about 50hp. Could be fitted with a single or twin 150hp extra long shaft outboard motor for speeds over 20 knots with lots of internal space or with a single 75 hp extra long shaft outboard for displacement speed to 10 knots. Also ideal for fitting outboard on a pod with large boarding or swiming platform. Boden will provide a detail drawing for a fabricated aluminium bolt on engine pod in plan set if requested.
The Geordie configuration has the engine under the saloon or wheelhouse floor. The David configuration has a lower cabin profile and the engine in a walk-a-round engine box

Frames 75 x 32 spaced at 743mm apart For speed over 10 m knots recommend a modern light weight diesel engine over 150 horsepower with a down angle gearbox. For displacement speed cruiser recommend David configuration with engine box and a modern light weight diesel of about 60 horsepower to give very economical cruising  |
