At 8.7m long by 3.66 wide and with a light displacement of 3.575 tonnes, this cat offers a pleasing blend of Australian practicality and classy Mediterranean styling. Accommodation consists of two double cabins forward, a large saloon, lounge and dinette that can convert to a double berth. There is a centreline helm, roomy galley and enclosed toilet and showers with a large self draining cockpit ideal for fishing. The hull is a single chine planing hull shape with sleek lines and a crank line in sides to lift appearance and improve structural strength. Plating on bottom and sides 5mm. Frames 100 x 6mm flat bar at 500mm centres. Keel 100 x 10 mm flat bar. Cross beams are fabricated to obtain best weight to strength possible. Craft such as this must be kept as light as possible. It is ideally suited to 4 stroke outboards but can be fitted with lightweight Yanmar or similar sterndrives.  |
