Question

Is this hull semi-displacement planing hull.
Also what type of fuel burn is estimated for cruising speed with twin 210's.

Answer

It is a planing hull with a slightly twisted bottom plane which is the ideal planning shape for a relatively loaded craft up to not more than 25 knots. Above 25 knots a constant deadrise hull is required which is generally unsuitable for shaft drive craft carring a work load such as with a professional fisherman,or long distance cruiser. Regarding fuel consumption this depends on loading however a typical 210 max HP turbo diesel (155Kw)will burn about 240 gm per kw hour or about 0.39 lb per hp per hp hour. For a 210 hp engine this works out at about 42 litres per hour. for each motor. Total 84 litres per hour. These figures are from the fuel curve of the Steyr 212hp Turbo diesel running at 3000rpm at the bottom of the fuel curve which is about 230gm per Kw/hour
