Question

Can a 240 hp Yanmar be used with a duo prop outdrive and a jack shaft to move the engine forward for better balance, I have a 25' with a volvo diesel and she is a little heavy in the stern. And what would the performance expectations be. Also what is the max length for this beam, I would like the cabin larger for occational overnight trips.

Answer

The jack shaft drive is a good idea. You will easily get 25 knots and possibily well over 30 knots. We never over estimate At 2.75 metres beam you can go up to 8.25 metres in overall deck length . The larger cabin is no problem. We will advise at the time. We encourage you to customise the cabin and outfitting.
