what would the boat speed be with 350 HP
Answer
Hull is designed with a twisted planing waterplane to give good load carrying characteristics and economical operation with an engine like a Cummins 6BT of 210 hp. Max speed light boat would be about 25 knots, economical cruising with load say 18 knots. Now to use 350hp effectively we will have to change the hull shape concept and go to a monohederal constant deadrise medium vee such as the Boden Express Delivery. This boat with a single light weight modern 350hp diesel will give 30knot plus in light condition. Any style cabin can be fitted
