I would like to biuld a 8m x 3m beam cat.I,m old enough to be past speed displacement speed and economy is the go.could this boat be reduced and built in alloy.I would like power be hybrid 2 elcitric motors some battery cap diesel generator

I would not advise reducing the size. Better to build the Z Cat in aluminium and forit a pair of 4 stroke heavy duty outboards such as the Yahama 9.9HP with a 2.95 reduction gearbox and remote controls
