Question

Could this boat be built with epoxy/glass/timber/ply type construction.

Answer

Yes it could and it would be an excellent boat. We would have to do a detailed plan for ply epoxy and fibreglass sheathing. With modern quality plywoods there is no need to sheath it all over. I would specify marine grade plywood planking and bulkheads with laminated timber where possible elsewhere. Epoxy bonging through our and 304 SS philip head fastenings encapsulated in epoxy bog. I would recommend that the main joints be fibreglass taped and the whole of the hull given at least three coats of Everue epoxy preservative. I would not paint the inside apart for appearence. The outside to have a full preservative paint system as specified by the paint supplier
