Question

G'day, Is it possible to power this vessel with water jet drives as opposed to stern drives, can the dead rise be reduced with out completely redesigning the hull ? If this is possible, in order to define the engine/pump combo what is this hulls top speed rating and allowable weight range for the designed engine mounting points without afectign the center of bouyancy?
Thanks Ash.

Answer

This vessel has been specifically designed for an inboard shaft drive. The hull shape is not ideal for a jet drive. We could supply a plan with 15 degree vee at the transom which is ideal for a jet drive assuming you want more than 20 knots. The cabin and layout can be the same as design 121.It would in fact be the Alloy Express hull shape with the 121 cabin. We would recommend a single stage can be anything from a 210hp Cummins or better still a new 250hp Yanmar diesel. Interested contact us direct
