Can the 29' be built in GRP. Up to what sea state will it take

Answer
The construction plans are for steel. The lines plan ,offsets table and arrangement drawings could be used for GRP construction using a foam sandwich core with composite laminated both sides. We could provide a guidance plan based on the information supplied by manufacturers such as Airex and Divinycell,both of which are good core materials and supply excellent technical information. Regarding seastate,these boats have been designed for inshore fishing about 25 nautical miles from a safe port. They are good seaboats but best seamanship practice tells us that one should be well on the way home before Is a fully enclosed boat with a good seakeeping shape and bilge keels. Its centre of gravity is relatively low and it would have a acceptable range of stability in all the designed conditions of loading and there is no reason why it would not be an excellent seaboat. The steel version has been proven in these situtations
