This craft seems to be a new design, what are the benefits of the wave piercing design apart from the obvious aesthetic improvements.
Answer
The benefit is the longer waterline length. Waterline length is the reason the shorter cats about 5.5 to 6 metres like the Boden Two Up have a more vertical stem. Sea keeping in the shorter catamarans depends on this waterline length. The longer cats about 7 metres plus will perform satisfactorily with a more raked stem
